Renter households are more likely to be lower income than those of homeowners. The 2021-2029 Housing Element for the City of Anaheim states that more than fifty percent of households (57%) in the City of Anaheim have incomes that are less than 80 percent (80%) of the Area Median Income (AMI), the low-income threshold as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development12.
